Happy New Year to All of You!
Greetings To Everyone in Our First Month of the New Year!
Here's wishing all of our friends around the globe a year filled with growth, prosperity, and, of course, "Light and Information." Here at The Reconnection we're off to an outstanding start in many new and exciting ways. Our holiday season was both restful and busy, starting with sending our first holiday card and continuing with many of the wonderful things we've had in preparation coming to fruition.

We've started our year with Eric presenting to a full house at the 2004 International Parker Seminar in Las Vegas, the largest annual event in the chiropractic profession. We'll be kicking off our regular seminar tour dates in the second half of February. Our first seminars include Los Angeles, San Francisco and Asheville, NC. This is our first time in Asheville and we‚re already seeing a great response! Our tour then heads to Washington, DC (in Cherry Blossom season!), Boise, Costa Rica and Toronto. Eric will also be giving the AHMA (American Holistic Medical Association) its first Reconnective Healing workshop!
Other highlights include a stop at the Sixth Annual International Energy Psychology Conference in Phoenix, where Eric will be keynoting followed by our own Level I/II seminar.
After that, Eric will be presenting in Las Vegas with the "I Can Do It" authors of Hay House, including Louise Hay, Wayne Dyer, Dr. Christiane Northrup, Gregg Braden and others. Looking towards the Fall, we will be touring through Europe again, adding Germany and the UK for the first time, and returning to Oslo. On a particularly special note, we‚ll be visiting Israel in November, where we'll be bringing the Light and Information that is The Reconnection to one of the highest spiritual vortexes of the planet. We hope you will join us there to make this a truly international and world-changing experience. We will culminate our year with a full complement of seminars in Sydney, including Levels I/II, III and our very first Australian Level IV. Complimentary Essence Lectures to Practitioners. New this year, and as a means of thanking you for all of your excellent work, we are allowing Practitioners and their guests to attend our Essence lectures with our compliments.
In The House!
We are thrilled to announce that we have taken everything "in-house!" As many of you already know, we're making exciting changes in how this year‚s tour is being planned. In recognition of your needs as practitioners, we now have a new and easier way to serve you: we‚ve brought all planning, registration, coordination and support in-house! We‚ve also added a toll-free number to provide you with information and to allow you to register for seminars and special events. In taking this work to the next level, we have also brought on two new staff members to the team: they are Jamye Price and Lee Linderman. New Practice Tools Just Launched!
We're elated to announce that we have a completely new website that includes a full range of new practice tools, ways to interact, find support and learn more about the work. Our web address is the same of course (www.TheReconnection.com), however the website has been significantly upgraded in many ways. Some of those upgrades include: a brand new look and feel, improved navigation, an upgraded Online Directory of Practitioners, and a whole new suite of practice tools to help you grow.
New Store Items and Support Tools
In our continuing efforts to support you, we have launched a suite of practice tools to help you get the word out. They include: our first FRENCH brochure, a Web Kit to help you share The Reconnection on your sites and around the internet and a Speaking Kit that provides a wide range of guidelines, tips and practice points to help you better communicate the work. All of these are now available at the much improved Reconnection store at www.ReconnectionStore.com
Level IV and Directory Updates
For the many of you who have asked, our Level IV courses will be offered in Toronto, LA, Sedona and Sydney this year. New Classes
Best of all, on the way, we will soon be bringing you improved Marketing Kits, online practice development and enhancement courses (aka RPM or Reconnective Practice Management) and even a course that specializes in Reconnection Core Teaching Skills, so stay tuned, Practice Development and Practice Management courses will be taught by our newest member, Pat Atanas. Pat's been working behind the scenes with us in planning this launch, and we hope to have more of her by the first or second quarter of this year!
Looking Back on 2003
Now might be a good time to take a moment and look back on the terrific year we all had in 2003. Last year, we trained 3,000 new practitioners, bringing the total to approximately 7,500 worldwide. We also had a wonderful tour in the US and Canada, including visits to 22 cities and the launch of our Level IV course with tremendous success. We visited Australia for the second time and had an incredible reception, so strong in fact, that the entire continent sold out of Eric's book. The publisher had to emergency drop ship books from the US and the UK to meet the demand. By the way, last year the book was also published in its seventh language, adding German, Norwegian, Danish and Hebrew. We had a fantastic trip to Europe where we introduced Reconnective Healing to Norway and had sell-out crowds in Paris. Wow!
Well, as you can see, we‚ve been really busy, and we're looking forward to this phenomenal year being even busier! There is much more to come, so stay tuned by visiting our website often and calling us at our new toll-free number 888.ERIC PEARL.
Eric's Last Word
Hmmmmmmm... And now for a little something that we might not often think about: English and the intended meaning of some of our words
This is Eric speaking. And you know that I'm not one to talk "religion" with Reconnective Healing. God - Love - Universe (choose the word you like). Yes. But religion? No. That's a personal matter. We all have different thoughts and ideas about religion - ours and other people's. And although we may feel that in many instances our religions, as we understand them, may fall short in certain areas, how much thought do we tend to give to what inspired them?
What was the inspiration that was behind our religions, the inspiration from which our religions sprang, the inspiration that often times may appear a bit clouded or obscured by people arguing and fighting over right and wrong, changing the rules, changing the interpretations, adding on new rituals, and the constant and pervasive wearing away of consciousness by the often rote recitations required when in houses of worship?
Sometimes the secret, the inspiration, is overlooked because it's hidden in one of the last places we'd look: in the word itself. As we all know, in the English language the majority of our words are derived from Greek or Latin. What do we get when we break the word "religion" into its Latin roots?
The Latin "re," when used as a prefix, means "again" or "to go back". "Lig" means to "tie," "connect," or "bind." And the suffix "ion" means "the act of," "state of," or "result of the act of." Put these together and the word "religion" in its purest, most idealized form, means to be in a state of "connecting again" - the act of or state of "Reconnection."
Could it be that the original intention of the word "religion" was for us to go back to our original connection with the Universe? Possibly. Probably. So why is it that the meaning of the word seems to have been such a well-kept secret? Well-kept, yet all along, right under our noses. Hmmmmmmm...
We‚re looking forward to a truly exquisite and inspirational year, to seeing you at the many seminars we're giving this year, our first year on our own - and we particularly hope to see you at the Sedona 2004 Mastery & Practice Development Conference and at our International Level I/II Seminar this year in Israel (city to be announced).
